The Performance I’ll Never Forget: Chilu Posen

“W

e once went to Baltimore to sing for a hospital patient. There was a private room, but because there were a few of us, they allowed us to use the cafeteria. Of course, we couldn’t make too much noise and had to keep the songs quiet and low key — but despite how quiet we were being, a half hour later a crowd of doctors, nurses, and patients had gathered and were singing along. The atmosphere was electric.”

—Chilu Posen (Mezamrim Choir)
